Here are my random picks of some of the great movies, besides the obvious ones. Note: The following movies are not according to imdb/rotten tomatoes ratings, neither restricted any specific genre or timeline.

SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS
What does your life mean to you? How do you define joy? Who is insane and who is not? If you think you are a bit philosophical in any way, this is the movie to watch.
2. Stand and Deliver
You probably have watched this one already. If you haven't, you are missing something! This one is for everyone if you are (were) a student, a teacher or if you love math (of course, optional).
3. Grave of the Fireflies
I'm pretty sure you've seen or heard about this Japanese animated film. If you are one of the few lucky humans who almost watched it, I wouldn't encourage you do so, especially if you want to have a fun day. But if you still want to watch it, I'd suggest you might want to wear a shade or something in advance.
4. The Great Gatsby
Based on the Novel by the same name, this movie has helluvah story and performances by the actors. How far will you go for your love? Watch this movie to see if you want to know whether your love is true. Unditional.
